Frank Elegar newcomer to Malaga

Frank Elegar (208 cm, Drexel’08) has agreed to terms on a deal to play for Unicaja Malaga (Spain-Liga Endesa) in 2019-20. He is a Guyanese international basketball player who also holds a passport from the U.S. Virgin Islands. He’s been a member of the U.S. Virgin Islands National Team from 2006-08 and again in 2010 and 2016.

Elegar’s 2018-19 season was spent playing for two different teams from the Turkish BSL. He played six games for Afyon and averaged 12.2 ppg and 5.3 rpg. He later moved to Tofas Bursa (Turkey-BSL), where he posted averages of 11.4 ppg and 5.2 rpg.
