First win for Chile, beating Columbia with 76-66

Chile registered the first win at the South American Championship. They defeated Colombia in the second round of Group A action. Erik Carrasco (181-PG-83) came up with 17 points and 7 rebounds to lead the winners. Chile dominated from start to finish. They ensured a 39:26 halftime lead. The gap grew in the third quarter. Chile ensured a 15-point lead with ten minutes remaining. Colombia did not surrender as they cut the deficit in the final quarter. But Chile survived the threat and sealed the winning outcome at the end. Evandro Arteaga (178-G-83) notched 16 points, while Gerardo Isla (200-F/C-91) contributed 12 points and 12 rebounds in the victory. Enielsen Guevara (204-F/C-82) answered with 18 points and 14 boards for Colombia. Norbey Aragon finished with 16 points and 10 boards in the loss.
