Faros has earned promotion to the Greek Basketball top flight after winning the A2 title to gain promotion. An 86-75 home win in Game 2 of the finals series handed the club a 2-0 series win over Irakilis, who will now remain in the A2 division.

As for Faros, the club will be mixing it with the Greek giants, such as Panathinaikos and Olympiacos, next season. The team joins Regular Season champs Panionios as the clubs heading to the A1 next season, they will be replaced by Apollon Patras and Doxa Lefkadas, both clubs relegated from the top flight.

In Game 2, the home team started strong and drained 30 points in the first quarter. However, Irakilis played well too and dropped 30 points to make it 32-30. The scoring slowed in the second frame and the guests edged the period 18-19 to make it a one-point (50-49) through the long break. In the third act, the tight contest continued, but Faros used a 17-15 quarter to extend to 67-64 after thirty minutes on the floor. The hosts carried the momentum to the fourth quarter and used a 19-11 run to put the series to bed.

Giannis Dimakos was a driving force in the win and finished with 26 points. Gaios Skordilis claimed a double-double of 17 points and 11 rebounds, while Nikos Liakopoulos secured 11 points and 8 assists.

Ronaldas Rutkauskas also doubled up with 22 points and 11 boards in the losing effort, followed by Yannis Gagaloudis with 16 points.
