Donnie McGrath switches to Efes

Donnie McGrath (193 cm, Providence’06) will join Turkish team Anadolu Efes from Istanbul. Initially, he had signed a short term “open contract” in Spain with La Bruixa d’Or Manresa but playing with Efes in the Euroleague probably sounded more appealing in the end. The American-Irish guard is a veteran of the European fields. In the past he played for Spartak St. Petersburg (Russia), AEK Athens and PAOK Thessaloniki (Greece), Verona and Cantu (Italy), and Cholet (France). Last season Donnie McGrath featured for St. Petersburg in two competitions. In the VTB League he played 21 games and averaged 10.1 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 4.8 assists per game, while in the Eurocup he logged 10.8 points, 2.3 boards, and 5.1 assists from ten appearances.
