Donnie McGrath returns to AEK Athens

Donnie McGrath (193 cm, Providence’06) has signed a contract to play for AEK Athens in the Greek top flight A1 league. Over the last few months, the American has been on home soil playing for the Long Island Nets in the D-League. Donnie McGrath hit the floor in 12 appearances and secured numbers of 8.7 points, 2.4 rebounds, and an impressive 8.9 assists per game.

At the start of the 2016/2017 season, the guard was at Lietuvos Rytas Vilnius, but did not play for the club before returning to the USA.

Previously, McGrath has played in Spain, Russia, and France. He is no stranger to the Athens faithful, having played for AEK during the 2009/2010 campaign.
