Saigon Heat from Vietnam (ASEAN League) announced American player Dijon Thompson (201 cm, UCLA´05) for the 2014-15 season. Dijon Thompson played the 2013-14 season for BC Nizhny Novgorod (Russia-VTB) and averaged 10.5 ppg and 5.9 rpg in 21 games. He also appeared in 15 EuroCup games where he logged 13.5 ppg and 8.2 rpg. Thompson also represented Novgorod during the 2012-13 season and impressed enough to be tabbed by the Russian team again. Over nine PBL games that season the American picked up the second best scoring averages in the league with 15.6 points per game, while he also added 6.3 rebounds. Over seventeen VTB United games he posted numbers of 13.2 points and 5.8 rebounds per game. Dijon Thompson has plenty of experience in Europe and has played in Germany, Israel and France. The 31-year old also has NBA experience and has been on the roster for several franchises, including the Phoenix Suns where he played ten games during the 2005-06 season.
