Darko Planinic deals with Sassari

Darko Planinic (210 cm) will suit up for Banco di Sardegna Sassari (Serie A) in Italy during the coming season, the club announced today. The Croatian has spent the last season featuring for Gran Canaria Las Palmas in the Spanish ACB Liga Endesa and EuroCup. In 24 domestic games, Darko Planinic secured averages of 7.5 points and 3.0 rebounds per game.

He also played nine EuroCup contests and logged 6.0 points and 1.9 boards per appearance. The Center played for Baskonia Vitoria (Spain, ACB and EuroLeague) during the 2015/2016 season. Through the stint he 33 league games and scored 4.2 points on average. Planinic has previously played in Montenegro and Bosnia.
