Darko Milicic

Former NBA center Darko Milicic (212 cm) has retired from Basketball and is now trying a new sport. Kickboxing! He will sign a contract with the World Kickboxing Association (WAKO).  Milicic is a Serbian player who was selected by the Detroit Pistons second overall during the 2003 NBA Draft. His career in the NBA started off very slowly and in fact, was never really ever able to take off. Widely regarded as one of the league’s bigger draft busts, Darko averaged just 6.0 ppg and 4.2 rpg during his NBA career. After playing two seasons in Detroit, Milicic was traded to the Orlando Magic. From there he hopped from several different teams which included the Memphis Grizzlies, New York Knicks, and Minnesota Timberwolves. He was waived by Minnesota after the 2011-12 season.  He signed with the Boston Celtics in 2012-13, but just played one game for them before being released by the team.
