Corey Williams, new addition for Duhok

Corey Williams

Corey Williams (191 cm, Alabama State’98) will get a shot at Iraqi basketball as he joins Duhok basketball team (D1) this 2013-14 season. The veteran Williams, who goes by the nickname “Homicide,” is an American native of the Bronx who also holds a Jamaican passport, thanks to his roots.

Corey isn’t a stranger to Asian hoops as he spent the 2012-13 season playing in Lebanon for Bejjeh basketball team (Division A). Williams tallied 31 games for Bejjeh in the Lebanese league and averaged 23.1 ppg and 7.8 rpg. He moved to Lebanon after a brief run in Puerto Rico’s BSN for the Quebradillas Pirates in 2012. Williams played a dozen games in the Puerto Rican league and averaged 10.2 ppg and 4.2 rpg.
