Chris Wright signs with Arecibo

Capitanes de Arecibo (Puerto Rico, BSN) has announced the signing of Chris Wright (185 cm, Georgetown’11) from the Iowa Energy in the D-League (USA). Wright has played 40 times this season for Iowa and has averaged well with 15.7 points and 7 assists over those appearances.

The promising point guard attracted the attention of NBA franchise the Dallas Mavericks and signed for the team in March. The 23-year olds stay with the Mavericks did not last however and he was sent back to Iowa two weeks ago. In joining Dallas Chris Wright became the first player in history to join the NBA while suffering from debilitating nerve condition Multiple Sclerosis.

While the future is still bright for Chris Wright he will now look to get his season back on track with Arecibo.
