AEK Athens (Greece-A1) has agreed to terms with Chinemelu Elonu (206 cm, Texas A&M’09) and will be adding the big man to their roster this 2017. He is a 29-year-old Nigerian international player who played for Texas A&M in his college days. In 2015-16 Elonu lent his talents to Besiktas Istanbul (Turkey-BSL), signing with the Turkish club in November 2015. He played five games for them in the Eurocup and averaged 9.4 ppg and 6.0 rpg. In 25 games in the domestic Turkish league he managed to record averages of 8.0 ppg and 6.1 rpg.
