Charles Hinkle (196 cm, American University’12) is bound for Asia after agreeing to terms on a deal with Niigata Albirex (Japan-BJ League) this 2015/16. This will be the 27-year-old player’s first time to sign and play for an Asian club. Hinkle spent his 2014/15 season playing in the NBA’s D-League. He originally started off with the Los Angeles D-Fenders and averaged 1.8 ppg in five games. Charles was sidelined due to injury and in March 2015 he transferred to the Idaho Stampede where he finished off the remainder of the season. He was able to play 8.9 ppg and 3.8 rpg. He gets a fresh start in Japan to breathe life back into his career.
