C.J. Collins (180 cm, McNeese State´11) will play in South America for the first time after inking for Vila Velha/Cetaf (Brazil, NBB). Most recently the guard had a disappointing stint playing for Dusseldorf Baskets (Germany, ProA) at the end of the 2012/2013 season. The American joined the team in February but over nine games he could only manage a poor scoring record of 0.9 points per game, albeit from very limited minutes on the court.
C.J. Collins started last season in Finland playing for Saynatsalon Riento (1st Division) and over twelve games he averaged 17.8 points and 3.7 rebounds per game. The 22-year old has previously played in Iceland since leaving college in 2011.
C.J. Collins graduated from McNeese State in 2011 after playing 33 NCAA games throughout the 2010/2011 season. Over those appearances the guard offered averages of 9.4 points and 2.7 rebounds per game. During that season Collins helped McNeese finish the season as the East Division’s Regular Season Champions.
