Byron Mullens released by Shanxi Zhongyu

Shanxi Zhongyu from China’s CBA has opted to part way with British-American big man Byron Mullens (213 cm, Ohio State’09). Mullens is a recent addition to the British national team this 2014. He played four games for the Shaanxi Wolves of the Chinese NBL at the end of the 2013-14 season, joining the team after his departure from the NBA. In his four-game stint Mullens averaged an impressive 30.8 ppg and 14.5 rpg. Byron played for the Los Angeles Clippers in 2013-14 and was able to average 2.5 ppg and 1.2 rpg in 27 games. In February 2014 he moved to the Philadelphia 76ers where he played 18 games and posted averages of 6.8 ppg and 3.3 rpg.
