Brion Rush leaves Chalon

Brion Rush

Brion Rush (185 cm, Grambling’06) finished his short-term medical contract with Elan Chalon (France-ProA) Sunday night with his best performance of the assignment dropping in 30 points in their win over Paris Levallois. Rush had a provision put into the contract that allowed him to leave the assignment early if a better contract came available. According to club’s website, Rush played his final game Sunday and while nothing has shown up officially, it seems he has been offered a contract in Russia, where he’s played previously. The management of Elan Chalon wished Rush well in their statement, and thanked him for the time he gave them. The injured player he was replace, Macus Denmon, has pushed his return to the club back to mid-January, compounding the problem of Rush’s early departure (he had signed an extension that ran through December 18, to his original deal to replace Denman). It was noted in the press release regarding Rush that the organization would start looking for a replacement.
