Brandon Thomas joins Mayaguez

Swingman Brandon Thomas (198 cm, Massachusetts’07) has penned a deal with Indios de Mayaguez (Puerto Rico, BSN) after leaving German BBL team Bayern Munich. The American featured 40 times for Bayern after joining the team last summer; in those 40 games he has recorded averages of 9.3ppg, 2.8rpg, and 1.3apg.

During the 2011/2012 season Brandon Thomas played with Artland Dragons, also of the German BBL. With the Dragons he took to the court in 9 Eurochallenge games and picked up averages of 14.7ppg, 4.1rpg, and 1.4apg.

Indeed, the 28-year old has been in Germany since 2009, so the move to Puerto Rico will certainly provide a change of scenery. Thomas will join straight up with the Mayaguez team and could feature against Guaynabo on June 14th.
