Brandon Edwards signs with Salon Vilpas

Brandon Edwards (203 cm, UT-Arlington ’14) agreed to terms with the Salon Vilpas Vikings (Finland-Korisliiga). Earlier this season, Edwards played for A.G.O. Rethymno (Greece-A1), where he averaged 4.0 ppg in 13.9 mpg. The move to Finland should give the small forward more opportunities to play and find his rhythm overseas. Salon Vilpas currently sits in second place in the Koisliiga standings with a 17-6 record. His international career began in Spain after graduating with Breogan Lugo and Melilla.

Before moving overseason, Edwards played at UT-Arlington from 2011-2014. He scored 16.2 ppg with 9.9 rpg in 34.7 mpg during his senior season. His scoring potential was on display in college and pro teams would like to bring that part of his game back to life.
