Vangelis Alexandris removed as coach of Aris

Vangelis Alexandris

Vangelis Alexandris, despite inking a new two-year deal prior to the season opener, has been removed as skipper of the Aris Thessalonki squad (Greece-A1). After an 0-2 start to the A1 season, Aris management felt it was the right time to make a move, so they’ve brought in Vangelis Agelou, who has been an assistant with Olympiacos S.F.P. Pireus for the last two seasons.

Greece turned to Cyprus way of basketball attitude, but the line of players ready to sign there is still big not taking this risk.

The coach had a two year deal and was fired after the first two games! Welcome to Greece. In the meantime, both the coach and players were paid in ” Greek air currency ” !!!!
