Ben Bentil moves to Xinjiang

Ben Bentil

Ben Bentil (206 cm, Providence’16) has signed a deal to play in China for the Xinjiang Flying Tigers (CBA) for the remainder of the season. The Ghanaian has been with the Fort Wayne Mad Ants in the American D-League, but the development franchise says it does not expect Ben Bentil to return this season.

This is a rookie season for the power forward after he left Providence and NCAA hoops in 2006. The 21-year old was a 51st pick by the Boston Celtics in the 2016 NBA Draft and was later shipped to the Indiana Pacers. Bentil was sent to the Mad Ants as an affiliate of the Pacers.

He will now be looking to get his pro career underway in China.
