Basketball Champions League Round 2 Qualifiers

Basketball Champions League With the 2018-19 regular season looming just around the corner, the Basketball Champions League qualifiers are heating up in Round 2. The remaining teams aspiring to make the cut and participate in this season’s Champions League played some amazing basketball.

Karhu Basket thrived in the paint to accomplish this win over Levski Lukoil. Bojan Sarcevic dropped a 22-point, 10-rebound double-double performance to anchor his team’s efforts in the low post.

Karhu was in control for most of the game, became complacent and let their guard down in the fourth quarter, allowing Levski Lukoil to charge back into contention. It was a good thing that Karhu regrouped and were able to then hold on for the victory.

Meanwhile, the game between Aris and Nizhny Novgorod was a far closer affair. The game boiled down to a missed shot attempt Maxim Grigoryev, who had a chance to tie the ball game. That’s the way the ball bounces sometimes. Credit does go to Aris’ defense in being mindful of that last play.

Telenet Antwerp completed the win sweep for teams playing on the road Tuesday night. They edged out Red October Cantu 84-76 thanks to an impressive performance by Jae’Sean Tate who chipped in 18 points and 11 rebounds to lead his team.
