B.C. Zalgiris Kaunas (Lithuania-LKL) has agreed to terms on a deal Axel Toupane (197 cm) and will be adding him to their roster this 2017-18. Axel is a 24-year-old French player who will be getting his first crack at playing for a Lithuanian club. He began 2016-17 on the roster of the Milwaukee Bucks. He played two games for them but failed to score in the limited minutes allotted to him. Toupane then headed to the NBA D-League and inked with the Raptors 905 Mississauga. In 37 games, he was able to produce averages of 16.7 ppg and 4.1 rpg. In April, the Frenchman was picked up by the New Orleans Pelicans, where he played two games and averaged 5.5 ppg.
