Ashton Mitchell signed by BK Kolin

Ashton Mitchell (183 cm, Sam Houston State’10) is on his way to the Czech Republic after coming to terms with NBL club BK Kolin. Mitchell missed the 2012-3 season and his last recorded action was in 2011-12. In 2011-12 he was playing in the NBA D-League for the Rio Grande Valley Vipers. Ashton played a total of 11 games for Rio Grande and averaged 5.5 ppg and 4.5 apg.

In 2010-11 he played his rookie season in Latvia for Liepajas Lauvas.  Mitchell played in 19 games for them in the Baltic League and averaged 14.0 ppg and 3.8 apg. He averaged 12.6 ppg and 3.9 apg in 35 games in the Latvian LBL, taking his team as a far as the semifinals that season.
