Aquille Carr signs to play in D-League

Aquille Carr

Basketball high school sensation , Aquille Carr, has signed a contract to play in the NBA D-League this coming season. The 19-year-old was a recent invitee to the Adidas Eurocamp in Treviso, Italy. Carr originally committed to Seton Hall, but has since considered taking a route  overseas as an entry point to the NBA. Detroit Pistons’ point guard Brandon Jennings (183 cm) entered the NBA Draft by way of Virtus Roma, where he spent one season to get some experience under his belt. Aquille was offered a deal to play in China for the Qindao Double Star.

Carr has had a colorful background and it is good to see that he now has a clear plan for his future. According to his agent, Johnny Foster:

“It was his decision to play in the D-League, and to develop in order to get ready for next year’s NBA draft,” Foster said

Carr will be eligible to be drafted by one of the 17 D-League franchises and it should be worth watching to see what kind of interest he draws on draft day.
