Anthony Johnson signs deal with Halifax Rainmen

Anthony JohnsonAnthony Johnson (2.01m, college: Azusa Pacific University) has signed and agreement to play the 2012-13 NBL season with the Halifax Rainmen (Canada-NBL). Johnson was the second pick overall in the 2012 NBL draft and is described by the Rainmen as “a 6’7″, 225-lb forward with unique talent as a player with physical strength who can also be an effective spot up shooter.”

“This is a good signing for our organization,” said Halifax Rainmen President and owner Andre Levingston. “We feel that Anthony was the best player in the draft and he will no doubt be an exceptional player in our league. He’s an extremely good shooter and has a high IQ for the game.”

The Rainmen are slated to tip-off their 2012-13 season with a home game against the Windsor Express on Nov. 2nd.

    Strange decision of the player. Clubs from Eastern Europe had a lot of interest for his service recognizing the talent.
