Anthony Borden leaves La Banda

Anthony Borden (208 cm, Central Arkansas´13) will not begin his career in Argentina after all and has departed Ciclista Olimpico de La Banda (Liga A). The center joined Olimpico during the summer but reports coming out of Argentina suggest the American struggled to adapt to life in the South American country. Apparently the climate, food, and the city of Santiago del Estero in Northern Argentina were all contributing factors to Borden´s departure.

Last season while representing Central Arkansas in the NCAA Anthony Borden played 22 games and averaged 6.9 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 2.2 blocks per game. The rookie will now have to look for a new club for the 2013/2014 season.
