Alex Stephenson signed by Istanbul B.B.

Istanbul Buyuksehir Belediyesi is a new addition to Turkey’s premier TBL this season and they want to make a splash and are accumulating assets. Alex Stephenson (208 cm, USC’11)  is the latest import signed by the club. The 27-year-old forward played in Slovenia in 2013-14 for Union Olimpija Ljubljana (Slovenia-Telemach League). He played in 25 games for them in the Adriatic league and averaged 8.5 ppg and 5.7 rpg. Stephenson also played during the team’s run in the Eurocup and there he posted averages of 8.4 ppg and 6.3 rpg. He logged 20 games for the club in the domestic Telemach league where he produced averages of 6.6 ppg and 5.2 rpg, helping them reach the finals in 2014.
