The Boston-born Owumi is an American player who also holds a Nigerian passport. He is no stranger to British hoops. Prior to joining the Lions in 2015-16 Alex spent three seasons on the roster of the Worcester Wolves (United Kingdom-BBL), with whom he won a BBL championship in 2014. Owumi signed with the London Lions in December 2015 and then managed to play 20 games for them. During that span the player posted averages of 14.6 ppg and 4.0 rpg.
