Alessandro Gentile signs with Hapoel Jerusalem

Alessandro Gentile (200 cm) is joining Hapoel Jerusalem (Israel-Winner League). This is the third team to sign Gentile this season. He began with EA7 Armani (Italy-Serie A) where he played six games in the Serie A and nine in the Euroleague. In the Italian league, he avearged 9.5 ppg with 3.8 rpg and 3.2 apg in 19.7 mpg. Armani let Gentile go in late-November.

Gentile then signed with Panathinaikos Athens (Greece-A1) in late-December. The Greek team kept Gentile until the two parted ways at the beginning of March. Gentile did not see as much playing time with the Greek team as he only averaged 14.6 mpg in his eight A1 games.

Now the Italian swingman heads to Israel for the first time in his career. He will join a Hapoel team that currently sits in fifth in the standings with a 13-11 record.
