Slovenian big man Alen Omic (217 cm) is set to strengthen the frontcourt of Anadolu Efes Istanbul (Turkey-BSL) for the 2016-17 season. He comes over to the Turkish club after playing two seasons in Spain for Herbalife Gran Canaria (Spain-Liga Endesa). In 2015-16 Alen played 21 games for them in the Eurocup and averaged 14.0 ppg and 7.6 rpg. He managed to help his team reach the Eurocup semifinals in 2016. Omic also logged a total of 35 games in the domestic Spanish league and there he was able to put together averages of 12.0 ppg and 6.8 rpg.
