Aleksandar Marelja signs with Oostende

Serbian big man Aleksandar Marelja (207 cm) is leaving Mega Leks (Adriatic League and Serbian KLS) to sign with Telenet BC Oostende from Belgium. After losing the first game of the season Telenet BC Oostende is undefeated ever since in the Belgian Scoore League. They are the leader of the pack with a 12-1 record, followed by Okapi Aalstar (9-4). Telenet BC Oostende is also doing well in the Eurocup where they qualified for stage two. The 22 year old Aleksandar Marelja is a former member of the Serbian U20 National Team. Last season he bounced around four different teams but this 2014-2015 season has been his best so far. He played 15 games so far in the Adriatic League for BC Mega Leks and averaged 11.2 ppg and 4.6 rpg while shooting 65.8% from the field and 42.9 % from the 3-point line.
