Aleksandar Marelja joins UCAM Murcia

Aleksandar Marelja (207 cm) has joined UCAM Murcia from Spain’s ACB. The young Serbian forward has already played a game for Murcia, but failed to score and only grabbed two rebounds in seven minutes on the floor.

The 20-year-old was a member of the Serbian U20 National Team in 2012 and is also eligible to sign up for the NBA draft in 2014.

He was also a member of KK Sloga Societe Generale Kraljevo from Serbia’s A League for two seasons. In the 2012-13 season Marelja played 25 games for Sloga and averaged 12.1 ppg and 5.8 rpg. It was an improvement from the previous season where he averaged 5.9 ppg and 3.0 rpg.
