Aleks Maric signed by Petrochimi

Australian big man Aleks Maric (211 cm, Nebraska’08) has committed to join Petrochimi Bandar Imam Harbor from Iran’s Superleague. The 30-year-old Maric began the 2014/15 season playing for Israeli powerhouse Maccabi Tel-Aviv (Winner League). He played eight games for them in the Euroleague and averaged 2.3 ppg and 2.3 rpg. He also played six games  in the Israeli league and there he notched averages of 3.2 ppg and 3.8 rpg.  Aleks later moved to Galatasaray Liv Hospital Istanbul (Turkey-TBL) and there he played seven games in the Euroleague and averaged 1.7 ppg and 2.9 rpg. In the Turkish TBL he averaged 1.0 ppg and 1.7 rpg in three games.
