ALBA Berlin Beats Braunschweig at BBL

BBL

ALBA Berlin recorded a key win in front of almost 8,000 fans at the German BBL on Tuesday as they downed Braunschweig 82-74 at home. The win takes them to a 14-4 record and remain in fourth place in the league standings. Braunschweig falls to 10th place with their 10-11 record.

The win was of additional importance as ALBA Berlin gets to warm up for the upcoming German Cup final at Bamberg next Sunday.

ALBA had a balanced offense in this encounter five of their players scoring in double figures. They were led by Rokas Giedaraitis and Luke Sikma who chipped in 18 and 15 points, respectively. It was a contrast to Braunschweig’s game as they relied mainly on the efforts of two players. DeAndre Lansdowne who dropped a game-high 21 points. Christian Sengfelder came through with a 15-point, 10-rebound double-double. Their bench only managed to put up 21 points.

There were only three games played for Round 21 so far with the remainder of the games set to be played later tonight.
