Aaron Craft to play for Monaco

Aaron Craft Point guard Aaron Craft (188 cm, Ohio State’14) will be reinforcing the backcourt rotation of French club AS Monaco Basket (France-Pro A) this 2017-18. The 25-year-old Craft is coming off a successful season playing in the Italian Serie A for Dolomiti Energia Trento. In 44 Italian league games, Aaron was able to produce averages of 10.3 ppg and 4.8 apg. He managed to help his team reach the league finals in 2017. Craft will be moving from one competitive team to another. Monaco was one of the top teams in the French Pro A in 2016-17, so hopefully, he will be able to bring over some of his playoff experience with him to France. While in college Aaron Craft was twice voted defensive player of the year in the Big Ten Conference. He and his team Ohio State had a very strong NCAA Tournament campaign in 2012 when they reached the Final Four. Although Aaron Craft was never drafted he did well in the NBA Summer league after graduation. Through NBA development league team Santa Cruz he caught the attention of NBA team Golden State Warriors and player 6 games in the NBA for them before taking his talents overseas.
