Janis Timma inks with Baskonia

Janis Timma (201 cm) has been announced by Baskonia Vitoria Gasteiz (Spain, Liga Endesa and EuroLeague) and will bolster the Spanish club for the 2017/2018 season. The Latvian spent the last two seasons playing for Zenit St. Petersburg in the VTB League and EuroCup. During the 2016/2017 season, Janis Timma played thirteen EuroCup games and averaged 16.2 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game.

He was among the club’s best players in the VTB League, playing 28 times and recording numbers of 12.6 points, 4.0 boards, and 2.4 scoring passes per appearance.

The small forward has NBA experience and spent time with the Memphis Grizzlies before moving back to Europe.
