He has played many roles in various teams over the years. He has been a defensive stopper, back up point guard, starting point guard, played off guard and even had spells as a small forward in Italy. One reason for this is Steve's size and his ability to do many things well. Steve can drive strong to the basket for the finish, many times going right at the big guy(s). He is able to pull up for the jumper after one or two dribbles if defenders are playing him on the drive. If they sag off altogether he will nail the three. Steve is an excellent defender. He can get in the oposing team's PG pants full court making his life miserable. Is very good at defending the pick and roll. He also is very effective guarding shooting guards along and over screens many times being there in time to block the shot. Most of his career Steve has backed up big international names but when given minutes he will produce (see 98/99 below). Steve plays for the England national team. He has won the Italian championship AND the Euroleague with Bologna, and the Greek cup (2x) AND the Saporta Cup with AEK. Took the 2006/07 season off from club basketball but did play for the Brittish NT. Went to PAOK at the beginning of the 2007/08 season but fell victim to "Greek circumstances", left, and went to Cyprus.
