A high school prep star in his native Texas (Burleson, Texas), Thomasson was one of the top high school players in America, recruited by many,when he choose to play at Colorado State. After two seasons in Colorado, he transferred out to Wichita State. He was a starter for the Shockers and had his moments on a very well-balanced team (in his senior year, 4 starters averaged between 9-13 ppg). Thomasson is an intelligent, well-rounded player, who contributes with or without the ball. He does all the little things that coaches love; watch him and you will see him box out on every shot. He sets screens, makes the right pass, runs the floor and will dive on the floor for the loose ball. Thomasson makes hustle plays. He can score with his back to the basket and he's good, catching and facing. Has a soft shooting touch and will surprise someone with his ability to play over the rim. In college, he's been the ultimate team player. As a professional, expect Thomasson to put up bigger statistics and continue to be a winner.
