After moving in the summer of 2005 from Bremen to ALBA Berlin, Philip has fine tuned his skills by performing double duty the three years after. Practicing and playing full time with ALBA he also got minutes with the TusLi farmteam when scheduling allowed. During these three years he has shown he is a shoe in for national team duty in the near future as he has gone through all the youth national teams (U18 and U20) which culminated in a Eurobasket first team honorable mention for his 12 ppg and 7rpg performance during the 2005 European U20 Championships in Moscow. Philip also has several years of ULEB Cup experience under his belt averaging during the 2007/08 ULEB Cup season 3 ppg (58% two's and 40% three's) and 1.6 rpg in just 9 minutes per game. Philip Zwiener is an all around solid player. He plays defense and understands how the game needs to be played. With a dangerous shot, the ability to get to the hole, as well as good athleticism, Philip will be a promising player for the years to come.
