| Tim Whitworth is an American Small Forward, and is one of the deadliest shooters in the world of basketball. A unbelievable shooter from threepointland and mid-range. Truly one of the best shooters on the market, especially in catch and shoot situations. Whitworth knows how to get the ball in the basket and is a very capable offensive player that can also take the ball to the basket from the outside and can post up smaller defenders. Can never be left open or he will score. Likes to use the pump fake to get defenders in the air, go by them and stop for the mid-range jumper. Is a capable rebounder when needed to. A hardworking player that hustles and gives a 110% evreytime out on the floor. Works hard in defense and has good footwork. Great freethrow shooter who you can rely on at the line in a close game. Good clutch player that likes to take (and make) big shots. Great guy and a great teammate. Tim, who is a Philadelphia-son, played college basketball in his hometown for D1 School Drexel where he was a All-CAA 2ndTeam player his senior year. Has since he left college been an All-Star all four seasons overseas, starting with his year in Mattersburg, Austria, following up in Leeuwarden in Holland and then he spent the last two seasons in Sweden (Sundsvall Dragons 2006-2007, Jämtland Basket 2007-2008), where he really made a name for himself with his deadly shooting abilities. Shot the ball 51,3% from threepointland in the regular season in 06-07 and 97,1% from the FT-line! Finished 2nd in the Three point shootout at the Swedish League All-Star Game in 2007, but came back in 2008 and won the title. Did very well with Jämtland in 2007-2008 despite playing the main part of the season out of position at the Power Forward spot. Whitworth is a good player that has gathered a lot of experience in his four seasons overseas and year by year continued to improve his game, he is now ready to make the next step in his career. |
