| An athletic shooting guard, with a sweep jumpshot and good athleticism, Dane Brumagin (pronounced "Brum-a-jin") comes off a terrific college career at UMKC (University of Missouri-Kansas City) leaving his name in the school record books. Dane is the 6th leading all-time scorer in UMKC history with 1,374 points in 118 games (a school record). The marksman ranks as UMKC's all-time career leader in free throw percentage (84.4%). Among the other all-time marks in school history, Brumagin was third in three-point field goals made (219), seventh in field goals made (453), seventh in double figure scoring contests (58), eighth in three-point field goal percentage (.386), minutes (2850) and free throws made (249), ninth in steals (118), 10th in rebounds (400) and 10th in career starts (73). The Missouri-native scored in double figures in 58 career games, which included 23 contests with 20 or more points. Brumagin has deep NBA range and is an excellent 3-point marksman. He's got good speed and verticality; Brumagin is also very good in transition, either finishing with a dunk or pulling up on the fast break and confidently knocking down the 3. He can shoot it in any variety of ways, being very good off the catch & shoot, but he can also handle the ball and create his jumper off the dribble or take the ball to the cup. Dane is a team player, who played most of his senior season with a very painful Achilles ailment. |
