| Rogier is a "product" of the Amsterdam basketballschool where he played his enire career before turning professional. Intelligent basketball player with good fundamentals and overall technique. Son of Jan Willem Jansen who was a very succesfull coach in the Netherlands (former Coach of the Year) and Belgium. Rogier has excellent ballhandling skills and can beat his man one on one. Quick and creative passer. Has good range on his shot. Sees the right plays and has good basketball instincts. Did make a lot of progress under coach Ton Boot while being at MPC/ Groningen. Has tremendous upside! Former captain of the Dutch National Team Under-22. Was voted "Rookie of the Year" in 2.004 in the Dutch First Division. Left MPC/Capitals at the Christmas-break of 2004 because of a lack of available playing time. Signed with OmniWorld/ Almere for the remainder of the 2004-2005 season. Was under contract with BG/Leuven in Belgium for the 2005-'06 season and did well as a back-up PG. Has lots of potential and upside left! Member of the Dutch National team this upcoming 2006 campaign.
