| Thomas is having a lot of potential and upside as a perimeter player. He has great size for a shooter. His outside shooting his is trademark at the early stage of his career. Has great range on his shot, a quick release with a nice arch. Has a good understanding of the game, runs the floor well and is improving dramatically at any aspect of the game while playing in for Hertener Löwen in the German D3 right now. Is officially still under contract with Antwerp Diamond Giants (Belgian D1) which decided at the beginning of the 2007-'08 to "lease" Thomas out to help him to develop his game in another league in which he could play a lot. So far, that has been working out great. Thomas needs to improve his physical strength, defense, rebounding and so on, which is logical at his age (19) but his potential as a prospect is very obvious. This past summer he was suppose to join Royal Atomia Brussels in the Belgian D1 but they folded at August 9, 2007. Thomas didn't want play another year for the second team of Antwerp (D2), which he did from 2005 until 2007, and he moved abroad. Was a member of the Belgian U-20 National team in the summer of 2006 and played in the B-division championships in Warsaw (13,3 ppg in 7 games). Was also a member of the Belgian Cadet team and U-18 afterwards. Finished second in the Division B with the U-20 nat. team of Belgium in Rumania (August 1-10, 2008). Scored 29 points vs Germany in the final (110-102 loss in O.T. game). Averaged, based on 8 games at 28,4 mpg: 13,6 ppts (12/21 2-pts, 27/78 3-pts, 4/5 FT), 4,3 rebounds, 1,4 assists, 2,0 turnovers, 0,6 steals. Left Phoenix Hagen early january 2010 because of a lack of playing time and joined Kangaroes-Boom in the Belgian D2 to be reunitied with U-20 Belgian National team coach Paul Vervaeck. |
