| Has been a member of the Belgian national junior team, the Under-22 team and the men's team throughout a number of years. Did transfer to Oakland (1999-2000) after spending two seasons at Marist (1997-1999). Post player who can play both inside positions. Has nice physical strength for his size and position. Can play with his back-to-the basket in offense and has good skills. Has a good feeling for the basket and is able to shoot consistantly from behind the European 3-point line. Has a turnaround jumper on the baseline as well which makes him effective in offense, both from the inside & outside. Adds a nice jumphook as well. In defense he likes to be very aggressive and to use his body. Physical defender who likes to make contact. Positions well in rebound situations but is not a great leaper. Started his European career in Italy with Jesi before moving to Power Wevelgem (Belgium). Good free throw shooter and the ultimate teamplayer. Speaks fluent French, English and Italian. Ultimate teamplayer! Had an important role coming off the bench for Oostende because of his fighting spirit and attitude. Never gives up! A real warrior and teamleader! Won the title with Oostende on June 16, 2007. Was captain of the championship team and also of the Belgian National team throughout their 2007 campaign. Is having a very succesfull 2009-2010 campaign for Optima Gent, his current stats speak for themselves. Valuable player for any team in a 3 or 4 man-rotation overall. His experience will pay off without doubt. Won the Belgian Cup on April 25, 2011, vs Oostende in a great final (68-66). |
