| Three-time Colonial Athletic Association "Player of the Year" (1999, 2000 and 2001). All CAA first team selection & CAA All defensive team. Good post defender. Contributes in all phases of the game, including low post scoring, rebounding, shot blocking and filling the lanes on the fast break. Has superior quickness and strength. Has a nice jumphook and a turn around bank shot. Developped additonal post moves as well. Led the CAA in steals , quite an achievement for a guy who plays lots of post defense. Had a seven-year Army career. Served in Haiti, Somalia, the Persian Gulf and Belgium among other posts. Participated in the Portsmouth Invitational Tournement early April 2001 and was voted in the All star team. Averaged 18,0ppg and 12,0rpg during this 4-day event. Took George Mason twice to the NCAA tournement during the last 2 seasons. Lost to Maryland this season in the first round. Almost upset the "Terps", losing 3 points: 83-80. Scored 27 points (67%) and grabbed 7 rebounds. Third Team Honorable Mention All American 2000-01 season. One of just four players in NCAA history to record more than 200 steals, assists and blocked shots for a career, joining former Kansas star Danny Manning, former LaSalle standout Lionel Simmons and current Duke All- American Shane Battier. First pick overall in the USBL draft of April 12, 2001, by Maryland Mustangs. Has been playing for Mons-Hainaut in Belgium since he left college. Was voted Player of the Year twice and has been one of the best inside players in the league since 2.001. Exceptional person and player, very coachable and extremely eager to be succesfull. Had a very good campaign in the ULEB Cup (2006-2007), averaging 16,4 ppg (66%), 5,2 rpg, 3,1 apg, 2,3 stpg, 2,6 topg while being 64,4% from the foul line in group games vs Unics Kazan (Russia), Eiffel Towers (Holland), PAOK Saloniki (Greece), Red Star Belgrade (Serbia) and Real Madrid (Spain). |
