Walter Hodge landed by ASVEL

Walter Hodge (183 cm, Florida’09) has penned a deal with French team ASVEL Lyon-Villuerbanne Basket (France-Pro A) this 2016-17. The 29-year-old guard has triple citizenship from Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and the USA. He has been a member of the U.S. Virgin Islands national team since 2009. In 2016 Hodge played 16 games for the Capitanes de Arecibo (Puerto Rico-BSN). He averaged 9.9 ppg and 4.2 apg, helping them capture the Puerto Rican BSN crown this 2016.

In 2015-16 Walter played for Acqua Vitasnella Cantu (Italy-Serie A). He appeared in 8 games for the team in the FIBA Europe Cup where he averaged 12.3 ppg and 8.3 apg. He also logged 23 games in the Italian league and there he posted averages of 11.9 ppg and 5.5 apg.
