Just three games ushered in Round 29 of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague, with the remaining five games of this round taking place on Friday. This is the penultimate round of the Regular Season and there is only one play-off place up for grabs.

Darussafaka Dogus Istanbul ensured we get an awesome end to the Regular Season as the club downed Bamberg to set up a Play-Offs decider against Crvena Zvezda. Two qualified clubs went toe to toe as Anadolu Efes Istabul looked classy against Olympiacos at home. Barcelona welcomes Maccabi Tel Aviv in a game between fallen giants, claiming a win in the process.

Brose Bamberg vs. Darussafaka Dogus Istanbul, 97-99

Darussafaka needed to win to keep its Play-Off hopes alive and the Turkish team managed to score heavy and collect a narrow victory. This success puts on a 15-14 record. Crvena Zvezda Belgrade also has 15 win but can move one ahead tomorrow. Either way, the two clubs meet in a do-or-die clash that will decide which progresses to the next stage. Bamberg was 40-29 in front through halftime, but Darussafaka exploded in the second half with 55 points. Still the guests did not secure the win until a deciding overtime frame.

Anadolu Efes Istanbul vs. Olympiacos, 77-69

Another Istanbul club claimed a win on Thursday as Anadolu Efes sunk Olympiacos in Turkey. This clash between two qualified Turkish Airlines EuroLeague teams with Efes moving to 17-12, while former champ Olympiacos is on 19-10. The hosts managed to stay a step ahead throughout, including a 43-36 first half. Olympiacos struggled to get into the game and didn’t win a single frame. Thomas Huertal topped the winners with 18 points.

FC Barcelona vs. Maccabi Tel Aviv, 76-71

This game between two former Turkish Airlines EuroLeague champions was one for pride. The giants of Barcelona and Tel Aviv has struggled this season. For the Israeli club, this was always meant to be a campaign of transition. Despite starting the season with an eye on the title, it has quickly become apparent that Barcelona is also in transition. During this game, the Spanish club Built a 40-32 lead and carried the momentum for the rest of the game, led by Ante Tomic with 15 points and 6 boards.
