Thomas Gipson signs with Boulazac

Thomas Gipson (201 cm, Kansas State ’15) will continue his professional career with Boulazac Basket Dordogne (France-Pro B). This will be the second French team to sign Gipson this season as he played with Chalon (France-Pro A). The Pro A league was tough on Gipson, so the move down to Pro B should pay dividends for the young player. With Chalon, he averaged 2.9 ppg and 3.4 rpg in just 11.8 mpg. He just could not find playing time in the eight games with the team and was released in November. Following his release from Chalon, he signed with Correcaminos (Panama-LPB) in late January. He only appeared in three games with the Panamanian squad with averages of 8.0 ppg in 21.3 mpg. Now Gipson will get a chance with Boulazac who could use a spark to end their season. The French team is hanging around in the middle of the Pro B standings with an 8-10 record.
