Ratiopharm Ulm keeps center Bryant

Ratiopharm Ulm reached a new agreement with center John Bryant to keep him in the team until the end of the 2012-13 season, the club announced Tuesday. Bryant (2.08 meters, 25 years old) shined in the German League last season, averaging 14.1 points, 9.4 rebounds and 1.3 blocks in 42 games. He led Ulm all the way to the German League finals, allowing the club to get a spot in the Turkish Airlines Euroleague Qualifying Rounds. Bryant was also chosen as the German League All-Star MVP. He has a solid college career at the University of Santa Clara, averaging 18.1 points and 14.2 rebounds in 33 NCAA2 games in 2008-09 – his senior season. Bryant moved to Erie Bay in the NBA Development League before joining Ulm in summer 2011. Bryant was the German League’s best rebounder in each of the last two seasons. “I am looking forward to returning to Ulm,” Bryant said. “I am happy to return to my second home.”
