Rasid Mahalbasic heads to Sevilla

Rasid Mahalbasic (210 cm) has agreed to terms on a deal to play for Betis Energia Plus Sevilla (Spain-Liga Endesa) this 2016-17. He has dual citizenship from Austria and Slovenia and has been a member of the Austrian national team since 2008. The big man already started the season playing for Yesilgiresun Belediye (Turkey-BSL). He logged nine games for them before parting ways and averaged 11.2 ppg and 5.9 rpg. He signed with Yesilgiresun, moving from BC Nizhny Novgorod (Russia-VTB), where he played the 2015-16 season.

In 2015-16 Rasid played 20 games for Nizhny in the Eurocup and averaged 11.2 ppg and 5.2 rpg. He also played 27 games in the VTB United league and there he notched averages of 12.6 ppg and 5.5 rpg.
