Pele Paelay joins Vestelspor Manisa

Vestelspor Manisa from Turkey’s TB2L has signed Pele Paelay (193 cm, Coastal Carolina’06) and he will soon play his first game for them. He is being brought in to replace injured Antabia Waller (188 cm, Auburn’10). Paelay, an American who was born in Liberia, started the 2012-13 season playing for Elitzur Yavne from Israel’s National League. He played 11 games for them and averaged 10.2 ppg and 3.9 rpg.

Prior to his stint in Israel he played for various teams in France and Germany. Paelay played the 2011-12 season in France for Quimper Ujap (NM1). There, the 29-year-old averaged 15.8 ppg and 5.2 rpg in 33 games.

Vestelspor Manisa is currently sixth in the league standings with a record of 12-8. They are tied with Darussafaka C. Tires Istanbul.
